During our trip in 2023, we delivered a Connor’s Toy Box to Patandi Special Needs School in memory of our special angel, Elizabeth. We met some of the children as well as Madam Jackline who oversees the school. Patandi serves 60 special needs children who live at the school full-time and are cared for by one very tired and exhausted matron. Scott’s Legacy is making it our mission to make this matron’s life a little easier. We learned that she was washing the clothes and bedding by hand.

With the help of our partner, Kundael, we purchased a commercial washer/dryer combination machine. It was delivered to the school’s dormitory on January 8, 2024. The children celebrated the arrival and Madam Jackline and the matron watched the technician explain how to operate the machine.

We received this message from Madam Jackline: “On behalf of Patandi teachers as well as our beautiful children, we say thank you so much and may God bless you all.”

Madam Jackline is in the process of interviewing for a second matron to help care for the children. Scott’s Legacy will provide the funding to support this position that will give additional love to these very special children.
