Flamboyant Chicken PROJECT

Jose Tabua of the Brothers of Charity asked for our help in expanding the chicken program at Flamboyant Special School in Mazabuka, Zambia. Flamboyant serves disabled and special needs children and we support Scotty’s Garden and Karen’s Play Park at the school. The school was originally founded by Sr. Andrea and the Sisters of Mercy in Ireland. The pandemic has hit Africa especially hard and the crisis is continuing as only 1% of the population is vaccinated. The chicken program provides the students with the opportunity to be directly involved in all aspects of raising the chickens and selling the eggs. The income generated will help support the school. In addition, the eggs are used to feed the students. In addition to the funds generated by selling the eggs, imagine the impact your donation will have knowing that your one time donation of $20 makes sure a hungry child gets fed every day.

Brother Jose has asked that we raise the funds to supply 225 layer chickens. Your donation of $20 covered the cost of the chicken, housing, feed and medical care. Thank you!
